Kia Motors Corp., an affiliate of South Korea's biggest automaker has
1. Cut production to upgrade a factory.
2. Opened its first European plant in December and it is building another plant in the U.S. state of Georgia to cut its exposure to currency fluctuations. The won has appreciated 7.9 percent against the dollar since the start of last year, cutting the repatriated value of Kia's overseas earnings.
